This weekend was the Regina Kennel and Obedience Club's annual show. Being our home club it was a busy weekend with always something to do. Barry and I both judged our Junior Zone Finals, and were thrilled with the caliber and sportsmanship of our junior handlers in Saskatchewan! It was a great weekend for the dog's too, I finished my Beagle Am/Can Ch Wishing Well's How Sweet It Is with a group 2nd in a super strong hound group, way to go Jack!! Our superstar Cavalier puppy "Tyra" came home with a group 3rd, group 2nd, a Grp 1st, and a BPIS! There is no stopping this little gal!!!

Well the AKC show in Winnipeg this last weekend was both terrific and a disaster! On the way home our truck broke down late at night between Virden and Moosamin, and we had to have it, and our 38ft fifth wheel towed by a Manitoba company to Moosamin. Tidy bit of coin if I may say so myself! The RV is safe at home, but the truck is still in Moosamin. Hats off to the RCMP from Moosamin, that pulled us over when they saw smoke, called the towing company, and stayed with us and guided us to the GM dealer in town. They played with the dogs, and kept us company till our "rescuer" cam from Regina with his one ton, to get us home. Gotta love those guys!! While the trip was a nightmare, the show was a dream! Our Cavalier puppy "Ch Halfmoon More Than a Smidgen", came home with TWO Best Puppy In Shows!! This gal is only nine months of age, and is getting noticed wherever she goes, we are so very very proud of her. Barry judged the provincial juniors in Manitoba and is was well done and attended. Hats off to Diane Fast and her team, and big congratulations to the talented hard working juniors, the future of our sport lies in their hands!

What a hectic weekend for Cragland at the Northwinds show in Winnipeg! We took our RV, and were happy we did, as we needed a home base for everything we were going to have to do. Barry drove the four hour trip across the border on Friday to GrandForks, to pick up our gorgeous new Beagle boy "Am Ch Wishing Well's How Sweet it is" He flew from Conneticut, and managed the flight well. Thank you Barbara Kennan of Wishing Well Kennels for the opportunity to be owned by this handsome dog! The way back to Winnipeg was getting scary, as the highways were beginning to flood. Barry then had to go back again on Sat night, to pick up our Cavalier "Suri" who had been in California being bred. This trip the highways were down to one lane, and he just made it back before it closed. Had the border crossing been more difficult, I have no idea how he would've gotten back! While he's doing all that and showing his Cavalier baby, I'm showing dogs, and breeding our lovely Australian import Cavalier "Angel" to Kim Hamel's beauty" MBISS, RBIS Am Can Ch Countrymanor Bloomfield Davi" Whew!...........can you believe we are finally all home, and to say the least, exhausted!! Our sweet little tri Cavalier "Tyra" did very well, taking a puppy group, a group fourth and a group third! Not bad for a junior puppy!

"Well it was that time of year again for our whirlwind six show weekend in Prince Albert Sk. Although the drive was very foggy, the weather was warm and sunny in PA and we were able to take our RV for the first time this year. It was great to sleep in our own bed! Our showy little Beagle puppy "DD" was BB all six shows, and captured a group three a group two, and two BPIG"S! Our new tri colour Cav sweety "Tyra" finished her championship as a junior puppy, with a BPIG to boot. What a great weekend for Cragland, thanks PA!!

Feb 16/10
Still a junior Puppy in Brandon Manitoba, DD took multiple BOB's over a top three Specials. We were very proud of her, but she decided that wasn't enough and brought home a BPIG as well!

This last weekend Cragland Kennels headed out to our first show of 2010, the AKC Winter Show in Calgary. The trip was great, and well worth it! Our Beagle baby "Cragland's Dirty Diana" is now "Ch Cragland's Dirty Diana, accomplishing her Championship at her second dog show! She also picked up a third BPIG, and was very well received!!Our tri Cavalier puppy "Halfmoon More Than a Smidgen" garnered herself six points by going BOW and WB. She is only seven months old, and this was her first dog show!! What a great experience for these lovely puppies, we all arrived home tired, but very proud!
